THE
RATING SYSTEM
Reviews are rated on a scale of 0 to 4 pops (0 being the worst
and 4 being the best). One reviewer is assigned
to write a review but if other reviewers see the same film, they
get to put in their 2 cents too. The Other Junkie's Opinions
section (located at the bottom of each review) is where you'll
find more opinions. Each reviewer who has seen the film
rates the movie and the average number of pops given is
the official Junkie rating. The number in parenthesis next
to the number of pops will tell you how many reviews the rating
is based on.
THE
REVIEWERS
Why do you read movie reviews? If you're like us, it's
because you want to know if a particular movie is going to be
enjoyable. The problem is, when you read a movie review
you only get one person's opinion-- how are you supposed to know
if your movie likes/dislikes are the same as the reviewer?
What if the reviewer hates all Independent films? What if
the reviewer is a sappy romantic and gives great reviews for all
romance movies? How can you tell if you can trust a reviewer's
opinion when you don't even know anything about them? Our
solution: Popkorn Junkie. Each movie can be commented on
by up to 8 different reviewers and each reviewer has his or her
own profile. Read up on the reviewers and find out about
their favorite movies, directors, and actors and decide who's

Concession Line", but has since moved on to the Yahoo!
Group called Junkieville. Join the community (it's free of course) so you can chat with
other movie buffs like yourself, post messages, create celebrity photo

If there is no review for that film on Popkorn Junkie, let us
know and we'll post your

Currently we're not looking for new reviewer to join our staff,
but we are always happy to post "Guest Junkie"
reviews. A "Guest Junkie" review is one that is
written by a non-Popkorn Junkie writer. Here's how it
works: If you submit a review to us for a movie currently
playing in theaters that we do not already have posted on our
site, we will post your review and you will be listed as a
"Guest Junkie". If we post 3 or more
"Guest" reviews, only then will we consider
adding you to our staff. If you would like to submit a
review to us for a recently released film that we do not already
have posted on our site please email

DEGREES OF KEVIN BACON
Here's how to play: Given a celebrity, try to link him or her to
Kevin Bacon in six films or less. Example: Casey Affleck.
Casey Affleck was in "Soul
Survivors" with Luke Wilson who was in "My Dog
Skip" with Kevin Bacon. Hence, Casey Affleck can be
linked in 2 degrees.
