This might be one of the worst films I have seen in my entire life, a lifeless bore of a movie that might possibly kill the careers of both Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans.  I don't know why it was made, and I don't think I want to know -- ever.  I never even want to hear this films title mentioned again, though it most certainly will be at this years prestigious Golden Razzies.  Burn in hell, "Marci X", and may the flames that engulf you never be extinguished.

Lisa Kudrow stars as a Jewish-American princess who takes control of a hip-hop record label and is forced to try and transform that label's biggest star, Dr. S (Damon Wayans) into more of a presentable celebrity.  The bizarre thing is that this film turns into somewhat of a romantic comedy, which is wholly loathable because neither Wayans of Kudrow can do jack crap when it comes to romance and the intelligent execution of romance.

The film boasts a somewhat impressive supporting cast, including Tony award winner Christine Baranski and Tony award winner Jane Krakowski.  I cringe when I think of how desperate for work they must have been to agree to do this film.  This must have been before "Chicago" and "Nine".  Their film careers now have another blemish.

That is really all I can say about this pathetic comedy that is the worst film of the year thus far.  We know Lisa Kudrow can be funny, i.e. "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion" and we know that Damon Wayans can be funny, i.e. "The Great White Hype".  In this film, however, funny is the last thing that comes to mind.
