"Tattoo: A Love Story" is a brilliant and stunning piece of filmmaking taking two completely different people who find themselves, and love for each other. Director and Writer Richard W. Bean take you on a wonderful journey into the human heart and displays for you with great passion how looks don't always matter. And how two completely different people can find what they need the most in each other. From beginning to end "Tattoo: A Love Story" reaches deep and shows you a path where there is love out there it's just the question of finding it.

The story begins when a student brings to class Virgil a tattoo-adorned Harley rider in for show-and-tell. During show-and-tell Virgil happily makes mention to the 3rd grade class that they can draw tattoos on themselves with markers. The next day the third grade teacher (Sara) discovers the entire class has covered themselves with color markers. Now, what is a third grade teacher to do? Well, go look for the person who started the whole mess. She encounters Virgil at a near by video store picking up some movies. Shy and quite Virgil even though unwittingly enters her confused, and mixed up life. This is where things become quite interesting for the two lonely strangers.

The film takes you on an emotional roller coaster through moments of being happy, sad, angry or even depressed. It opens the doors and invites you in with warm and tender arms. (The film I admit is not perfect by no means) but it's truly well worth your box office dollar.

Richard Bean is an award winning playwright and filmmaker. He has worked on 15 feature films including "Chasing Amy", and "The Opportunists", over 50 short fiction films, commercial films, and documentaries including "Witches" for Lifetime Television, and "Raging Planet: Fire!" for the Discovery Channel.

"Tattoo: A Love Story" made its New England Premiere at The Nantucket Film Festival this year.
